Day Three

Day Three

Our day started with a wonderful breakfast and was followed by a day full of various work projects around La Iglesia Evangelica Cristiana. We were again blessed with wonderful weather to work in! Some of our projects included painting the outside of the church, scraping and sanding, power washing, carpet and window cleaning, etc. We had a fun lunch as a team and then got back to work outside. It was awesome to see all of the progress we made at the end of the day. In the evening, after dinner, we held a small service on the street corner for people in the neighborhood. We broke up into teams and invited people to come in Spanish and English (:. We were able to perform both of our skits and had two people share their testimonies. The song team also lead us in some songs. It was cool to see people walk up and join in and listen to the truth we were able to share. The boys played some intense basketball and we then had team time where we may have laughed a little (lolz).
Please pray for continued strength and health for us all. Please pray also against fear and that God would give us boldness, trust, strength, and joy as we continue serving in McAllen, Texas!

Day Two

Day Two

Today the Taylor team did two things: church and relax. So during the morning service we had Kathryn give her testimony while others participated in the everything skit. We also had Aaron and Matt teach the story of David and Goliath in the kid’s service. In the evening service we had Kate Gannon give her testimony and then we performed the Trees skit. Then for the evening kid’s service Chris and Kelsey taught on the fiery furnace in the book of Daniel.Between services we had some relax time, although many did not. Most the team took this time to work off the food we have eaten. Some of us went on a 6 mile run, some walked, some biked, and some played rugby. This was much needed due to the amount of food we have eaten.

Day One

Day One

Hello friends and family! We are glad to report that the team made it to McAllen last night safely, even though we had to sprint through the airport. Today we did small projects around the church that we are partnering with in Texas and met many of the missionaries that we will be working alongside.  This evening we gathered people from the neighborhood and hosted a family night where people of all ages came to play sports and hear a Bible lesson. Our team enjoyed playing basketball, volleyball, and playing with the many kids who came. Please pray for us as we prepare and teach Bible stories and perform dramas tomorrow during the church services.
