Greetings from Mexico!
We have had a packed few days! We finished up our work with Back2Back and loved our time there. We spent the last couple of days at different organizations in Cuna Maya and Bonfiel where we did more construction work and played with lots and lots of children. We have spent a lot of time reflecting as a team about the work God is doing here in Mexico and we are so thankful we got to play a part in His mission.
On Friday, we left back2back and went to the hotel where we are staying. After a lot of confusion and mix up, we finally had rooms and headed to the beach. Yesterday, we spent the day exploring Chichen Itza, a Mayan ruin, one of the 7 wonders of the world! It was amazing and we had so much fun together. Today, we are celebrating Easter on the beach (can’t complain, right?) and it is also Chelsea’s birthday today! Yay!
We head out tomorrow around dinner time and will be back in Indiana around midnight. We can’t believe our trip is coming to an end! Thank you all, again, for all of your support and prayers! We can’t wait to share our experiences with you! Please pray for safe travels and good health as we begin our journey back home to the good old US of A.
We will try to bring back some nice weather for you all!
See you soon!

It is the end of Tuesday and we are all sunburned, tired, and having a blast! The two days have been filled with construction work and playing with children. We are thankful for your prayers and support!
Yesterday, we went to a ministry sight called Rancho Viejo where we worked all morning and afternoon helping with building the foundation of what will soon be a church. We dug holes, mixed concrete, and also put the concrete in. In the afternoon, we had the opportunity to walk into the neighborhood and find children to bring to our afternoon program that was filled with songs, skits, a Bible lesson and craft. It was amazing to see the work being done in Rancho Viejo!
Today, we went to a community called Trea Reyes. Back2Back is in the process of helping build a large community center for the people in Tres Reyes. This center will be used for many, many things such as: weddings, parties, tutoring, dental care, training kitchen, library, art classes…Etc. We spent the morning and afternoon working on construction for the community center and in the afternoon we played many games with the children of Tres Reyes.
We are amazed at all the things the Lord is doing here in Cancun! When most of us think “Cancun” we most likely think big resort and vacation. However, we have quickly learned that 95% of Cancun lives in poverty. Our eyes have been opened greatly, and we ask that you pray for God to keep revealing Himself to us.
Thank you for all your prayers! Adios!
Hola Family and Friends!
The sun is shining and we are loving Cancun! We arrived yesterday with no complications, but we were very sleep deprived, but also ready to get going!
We arrived at the Back2Back ministry house and began to learn about the different places the organization works with. We headed out to ” Bonfil” which is a place where kids come Wednesday’s and Saturdays to learn about Jesus. We had the opportunity to use the things we prepared before the trip at Bonfil. We sang songs, did skits, taught them about David and Goliath and celebrated some of their birthdays. We were able to make great connections with the kids despite the language barrier.
Today (Sunday), we had the amazing opportunity to attend a Bilingual church (Vida Life). We were able to sing and be taught in both Spanish and English. It was amazing to experience a little piece of Heaven as there were many cultures and languages represented and how we were able to find complete freedom in our worship.
We spent the afternoon at the marketplace where we were able to buy souvenirs and barter with the store owners…it was a lot of fun!
Today could be summed up by the word “JOY.” There was a lot of laughter and excitement and our team bonded together really well. We are excited to see how the Lord will continue to move this week! Please pray for safety and stength as we head out to a construction site tomorrow to do some work.

Hola Friends and Family!
We are just hours away from our departure to Cancun, Mexico! We are so excited to begin our adventure and too see how the Lord uses us to further His kingdom. We have one last team meeting where we will be finishing up packing (Friday), and will head out 2am (pray for our sanity) Saturday morning!
Once we arrive in Mexico, we are not sure what to expect, but we know that we will hit the ground running! We can’t wait to finally meet the people at Back2Back and partner with them this next week. We are expecting the Lord to do great things and we cannot wait to share with you!
Thank you to everyone who has supported us in pray as well as financially, and continues to support us! We are so thankful for your generosity! Thank you for being apart of our mission! Please continue to pray for traveling mercies and the team’s health as we leave.
Be on the look out for more posts throughout the week! We will (hopefully) be updating daily.
